Herygo Gomez Pineda has been the Golf Course Superintendent and Head of Grounds at Estrella del Mar since September of 2004.
Herygo began his turf career at Palmilla Golf Course & Resort in Los Cabos on May 2002, and then went to La Hacienda in Mexico City as an Assistant Superintendent. He held close relationships with Superintendents of Cabo San Lucas Country Club, Cabo del Sol & Querencia, in Las Cabos, and the Country Club of Mexico City before coming to Estrella del Mar in May, 2004.
He grew up in Mexico City and attained his agronomy degree from the Universidad Autonoma Chapingo in 2001. Herygo is a member of the Golf Course Superintendent Association of Mexico and an International Member of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA).
In his free time Herygo and his wife Yaxal enjoy family Sundays, camping, beach, movies, reading and watching golf and soccer. He also loves his job at Estrella del Mar.
